About Me

Hello, my name is Fang Kiang.

I’m a hot-blood, adventurous and minimalist guy, I’ve traveled to over 30+ countries and love to discover and explore more for this amazing world. I like to learn and try to experiment with new things. The reason I like to travel is that it really opens my mind to the world. If you like it too, follow me on my social media account or let’s have a chat.

During my free time, I practice Chinese Kung Fu, cycling, jogging, meditation, and readings. I’m not a pure minimalist, but in most case, I keep myself as if I’m in a minimalist life.

Over the years, I’ve taken and completed over hundreds of online courses, including free and paid ones. I started from the basic’s web design and development to the advanced level like deep learning, artificial intelligence, self-driving car, robotics, and I even worked as a mentor and code/project reviewer of these topics. It’s all just started from a hobby, then I took clients every once in a while.

I’m also a solopreneur, I have a full range of skills. My deal with web design and development, WordPress development, artificial intelligence, deep learning, robotics, computer visions, data analysis, cloud computing, database, servers and more.

I am no longer accepting any jobs/jobs as I am currently working on a startup called Jorcus to help digital nomads and remote workers around the world.

MIT World Competition

In 2017, I took part in MIT self-driving car deep traffic competition. I achieved first place in a deep traffic world competition and received a one term scholarship for self-driving car nanodegree. I maintained my score in TOP 10 in deep traffic world competition from 1.0 to 1.2.

DeepTraffic is a deep reinforcement learning competition. The goal is to create a neural network to drive a vehicle (or multiple vehicles) as fast as possible through dense traffic.

Startup: Jorcus

I’ve been looking for new startup ideas and finally found it. Because of the pandemic, people start working remotely. I think remote work is here to stay even after the pandemic. Many people will never go back to the office again. I’ve been searching for a specific niche that I can apply most of my skillset and now I found it. As a jack of all trades, I’m going to put my hard earn skills into something that is meaningful. So, I’m building the Jorcus app from early 2021.
